Heres one thing to introduce myself, I'm a college student and i like object shows. Weird, I know, but I watched them ever since i was 7, they sorta stuck to me, like a hyperfixation basically. But theres one object show i never really wanted to watch, you might think its "Object Redundancy" or hell even "Clash to be champion", but no. Its "Burger Brawl", no, its not because the creator of it got into conterversaries. Its because i didnt like it, i tried watching it but it didnt really hit close to me like most object shows did, the script sounded like a 8 year old who just found out how to swear.
Rant aside, theres something that happened a couple days ago that changed my perspective of the show. It was a long day of studying and i needed to wind down, so i sat in my room and turned on the tv. I didnt have any new object show episodes to watch so i decided to settle for random tv channels. I clicked on the kids section cause i wanted to see if theres any Spongebob on so i could maybe watch it to relive my childhood yk?
But i saw something under Cartoon Networks scheduale. It was 8:46 PM so it had already changed to [adult swim] already and it wouldve probably played something like King of the hill or something like that. But no, it said "Burger Brawl" on the schelduale. I just looked at the tv with a confused but intruiged expression, yeah sure, [adult swim] air stuff like Smiling Friends and stuff but OBJECT SHOWS? I didnt know an object show which was made in flipaclip would be allowed on [adult swim]? But i decided to check it out to see maybe that it was another show called Burger Brawl. It wasnt, it was the real thing, an object show, airing on [adult swim].
Well, hey, maybe i could rewatch it, maybe my thoughts could change on it? It was episode 17 "my butts to blame!" airing, must be airing the latest (and i guess, final) episode, but i saw another episode that was airing at 9PM. "Sobering Green", it was called, no episode numbers, no weird and or funny name. I seemed fishy about it but i decided to watch further to see what this sobering green episode thingymajic was about.
It was now 9PM and after some bumpers and commercials, the episode finally aired. What im about to read to you was the contents of the episode, i looked up the characters names on google and a random wiki page on the show and matched it up to the characters in the episode.
It started off with the character "Greeny" (a green rubber ball with a backwards baseball cap in a darker shade of green) resting next to a tree, looking depressed and tired. It was pretty odd to see that, because the last episode i saw, he was all cheerful and stuff, its weird seeing the sunshine character all depressed and stuff, but i shrugged it off as maybe some plot point. Then his best friend "Adventures" (a pizza) came into the scene and saw his now depressed buddy. "Dude? Whats wrong today? You look just.. depressed.?" Adventures asked Greeny. Though his buddy didnt reply with anything just sat there.
Adventures looked around the grassfeild ". weird.. Where is like.. Almost everybody? Only Irish, Logi and Redd were up for elimination..", Adventures then looked at his buddy. Greeny was now smirking, looking at Adventures dead in the eye. "Oh, don't worry about them.. They're long gone.", Greeny spoke in a proud tone. I paused the episode for a second, how can something so dark be in a show about objects competing for some burger king card? I unpaused and keot watching this now interesting episode, it only had about 3 minutes left, which was odd since most episodes lasted about 14 minutes.
Adventures just looked at Greeny with a horrified expression, "... What do you by that.?", his hands looked shakey. Heres something to mention also, the episode looked like something that wasnt even made in fllipaclip, nor Gery's style of animating, it looked professionally animated by some animation company.
Greeny laughed, "Don't you know Adventures? They're all dead. Its only you and me buddy.!", he looked at Adventures with an evil smile. Adventure's expression looked like he just found a dead animal, was this even his friend? Greeny grabbed Adventures by his hand, "Come on, let me show you!".
They were now at a cliff, there was all the contestants scattered across the grassfiled dead, in multiple different ways. Like Logi, (a strawberry milkshake flavoured pop tart) snapped in half, 10pin8 (a green slime circle thing) and G4J (basically the same as 10 but a darker shade of green and droops aroubd him) both mushed and smashed into the ground. There were even some that died in more intense deaths, like hoood/nethr (cloak thing and under it was a bag of popcorn) was being stabbed by hyper (a spear) through the eye.
Adventures looked like he was about to throw up, he ran to the end of the clif to quickly throw up. Greeny showed up behind him as Adventures was throwing up. "I kept the best for last", Greeny said as he held onto adventures hand before kicking him behind the back, making him fall. Though something was off, Greeny didn't let go of Adventures hand, making Greeny fall with him. It didn't show them whike they were falling off the clif nor their death, but there was a "thump" sound 8 seconds after they jumped.
After the jump, the screen fades to black, instead of the credits and stuff where they show fanart, it was replaced by the words "whos gonna battle for it now?", and a burger with blood and human meat, and brown human hair in it, the burger also had a crown, probably meaning the the host "The Burger King" got turned into meat by Greeny. Then the episode ended, I looked at the screen, horrified, no object show has ever scared me like that in my years of watching.
The next day, I went onto my computer, we had a day off because of a possible gas leak in the study hall, so they kept us off for our safety. I went on different 4chan fourms and many other different online fourms including the burger brawl wikia asking if anyone seen the episode or had any acrhives of it but almost everyone that replied said that the episode didnt exist or that they didnt see it.
Until someone named "starwarsfan7899" and "SwimKid" came in clutch. (Dont worry i made these usernames up mods dont worry) Starwarsfan7899 was just channel surfing and Swimkid watched the whole thing. What the next paragraph contains is the reply starwarsfan7899 said, the paragraph after that is what SwimKid replied with.
starwarsfan7899: "Burger Brawl? Yes, i saw abit of it yesterday, though the episode wasnt like what you described, no murder stuff or anything like that. I took a photo which is a photo of the intro, I was originally gonna submit to the adult swim wikia to ask of this 'new show' though I think i found my answer."
SwimKid: "Jesus, fuck, I do unfortunatley know about the episode. I was one of the viewers, I watched the 17th episode and that weird ass episode. Too be fair, Greeny was an annoying fucker, that anime obsessed freak (Hyper) shouldve done all that killing shit, hell, even that whiteboard chick (Nicole), she looked like she was done with everyones shit. But yes, I do have proof. Though I screenshotted then off this random ass tv channel app and was gonna use as some meme for shits and giggles."
Theres another odd thing i want to add, the show only aired one time on adult swim, like it never happened. Was this hijack? Wss this just a joke? Was this an accident? I have so many questions that may not be answered at all.
I have messaged Gery and Greenyguy about this episode. Heres their responses.
Gery: "I have never made such thing as a Sorrowful Green or any murder themed episodes where a character goes apeshit and kills everyone permentaly. No idea where youre even getting this from and the proof is definetly not edited. They managed to replicate my artstyle to make some shitty corny bootleg episode. Pretty inpressive if you ask me."
GreenyGuy: "An episode about me killing someone? I dont remember asking Gery about that nor do I wanna see that. The person who made the episode didnt ask me or Gery's permission to make the episodes. So no, that was not made by Gery, he wouldve shown or atleast asked me permission about the episode."
I still have questions about this episode and both of the people on the fourms have been inactive ever since. I wonder why, just be careful on what you watch.
